Anyone else have iPhone fatigue?

Is anyone else tired of hearing about the iPhone?

Before fellow Apple fans start yelling at me, I’m buying one on the 29th. I just can’t take anymore iPhone buzz. We get it, it’s a new kind of phone without buttons, just one big screen. It’s hard to tell who’s worse, the media or bloggers? They’re both regurgitate the same thing over and over again and drooling like you wouldn’t believe.

I completely agree with you when you say this has been way over covered. Yet you can only try to understand the collective excitement. Not every often does a truly “unique” or “different” product comes along. Most stuff is usually a rehash of what’s already available with some kind of twist attached to it. Add to this the marketing genius at Apple and you get this perfect storm of media.

I am in no way defending apple, or everyone that is insanely anticipating this release. Yet sometimes you can gain perspective from standing on the other side of the line and looking in.

tamgo, I totally get it. Don’t get me wrong, it’s definitely exciting and it’ll be interesting to see how iPhone stacks up. Having said that, they first announced the iPhone on January 9th!: http://www.apple.com/pr/library/2007/01/09iphone.html it has been over 6 months. I can understand why one would be excited about iPhone, I am just a little over the hype and ready for the real thing.
